Finished Artist - Shanghai


Cowan Shanghai is growing, and looking for an experienced and efficient Finished Artist. Do you have a solid understanding of print production processes, with plenty of experience in FMCG artwork? Do you have impeccable attention to detail and a drive to ensure the creative intention is brought to life in production?

You will be based in Shanghai and will be a part of a bigger global team with interaction with our international studios, including opportunities for short-term office exchanges, and plenty of exciting work!

Ideally you will:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in FMCG artwork production, and a solid understanding of production processes
  • Be fluent in reading and writing Chinese, in order to manage copy changes and layouts
  • Have excellent retouching skills with an eye for realism and detail
  • Have expert knowledge of Adobe CS, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Have experience with DCS artwork
  • 3D application experience will be a plus
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude

Job description:

  • Build finished artwork from the design visual, including the required Photoshop retouching, image manipulation and composition
  • Liaise with suppliers and printers for input on requirements and achieving the desired result
  • Ensure quality control is maintained and files are checked for errors
  • Work with both the creative team and account service team to ensure the design vision is achieved and client expectations are met
  • Work with the supervising senior finished artist, but be able to work independently, efficiently and with accuracy to meet deadlines
